Kamala Harris' campaign is fast sliding behind Donald Trump, according to three recent surveys

With less than a month until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris' lead against former President Donald Trump has dwindled in three major surveys, dealing another blow to Democrats who were already worried about November.

In the NBC News survey, Harris has dropped six percentage points to Trump in a single month, leaving the former president with the slimmest edge of 47% to 46% among registered voters – including third-party candidates.

In the same survey last month, Harris received 47% of the votes while Trump received 41%.

A separate ABC News/Ipsos poll found that voters are going in Trump's favor nationwide, with Harris still leading among likely voters by 50% to 48%.

However, Harris's 6-point lead among likely voters (52% to 46%) has shrunk significantly since the survey last month.

Ultimately, a CBS News/YouGov survey shows Harris ahead of Trump nationwide by 51% to 48%, with a battleground state average of 50% to 49% among likely voters.

That survey showed Trump up just one percentage point in the national matchup from where he was in September, when Harris was up 52% to 48%. The battleground state averages are equal.

With the new round of polling, Harris' advantage in the RealClearPolitics aggregate of recent multi-candidate national polls has dipped to 1.4 percentage points, down from 2.2 points on Saturday.

Trump also appears on the RCP no-tossup map of swing state elections.

Taken together, this is awful news for Harris. Most analysts believe she will need a five to six-point national polling edge to win, citing previous elections that demonstrate Trump supporters do not respond to surveys and Republicans have an inherent advantage in the electoral college.

Even before these polls were released, unhappy Democrats were releasing internal polling that showed Harris losing in crucial states like as Wisconsin and Michigan, which would help determine the result of the November election.

Many Republican insiders have been all but ready to proclaim triumph.

"There are lots of Republicans—I say lots—a not insignificant number of Republicans, who say the race is effectively over," prominent political writer Mark Halperin remarked last week on 2WAY's "Morning Meeting" show.

He clarified that afterwards "there are a lot of really worried Democrats and there are really no worried Republicans, including at Mar-a-Lago."

According to the NBC News poll, Harris' favorability is eroding, with the vice president scoring 43% positive to 49% negative, particularly among younger and independent voters.

On issues, the NBC poll echoed a slew of previous polls, with Trump leading on the economy (46% to 38%), inflation (44% to 37%), immigration (46% to 36%), and dealing with the Middle East crisis (42% to 34%).

Harris led on abortion (47% to 32%), middle-class issues (42% to 32%), and democracy (44% to 38%).
